Nami Island
Nami(seom) Island is the famous filming location for the drama, ‘Winter Sonata’ (2000). The place was not originally an island, but formed as a result of the Cheongpyeong Dam being built downstream. On the island is the grave of General Nami of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), which is where the island gets its name. The must-visit places at Nami(seom) Island are the Metasequoia Road and Songpa Gingko Tree Lane. For tourists, Nami(seom) Island offers a variety of attractions and much to see and enjoy. There are spots that cannot be left unvisited like the UNICEF Hall and the Song Museum, and catching sight of various animals including ostrich, rabbit and squirrel also adds to the fun. |
